As part of its continuous efforts to enhance academic collaboration and strengthen ties with reputable public universities, Multaqa Al-Nahrain Private University College in Basra has signed a twinning and joint cooperation agreement with the University of Technology / College of Electromechanical Engineering, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Multaqa Al-Nahrain University College by Professor Dr. Saadoun Fahd Dakhel (Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs), and on behalf of the University of Technology by Assistant Professor Dr. Ghassan Abdul-Hussein Bilal (Dean of the College of Electromechanical Engineering), representing the President of the University of Technology.

This agreement aims to strengthen academic and research cooperation between both institutions, develop scientific and training programs, and exchange expertise in a way that supports the educational process, serves the community, and contributes to developing human resources in academic and professional fields.

The agreement includes several key provisions, most notably:

• Organizing joint scientific workshops, conferences, and exhibitions
• Exchanging expertise and electronic programs between both sides
• Participation of faculty members in teaching methods training courses
• Exchanging books and scientific resources
• Joint supervision of graduation projects and student examinations
• Organizing mutual visits between academic staff

This agreement represents an important step toward building effective academic partnerships that contribute to achieving scientific excellence and enhancing the position of Multaqa Al-Nahrain University College within the higher education landscape in Iraq.
