Multaqa Al-Nahrain Private College organized an awareness seminar entitled “The Impact of Drugs on University Students”, as part of the college’s commitment to enhancing health and social awareness among university youth.

The seminar was held in the presence of the Dean, Dr. Sajid Al-Abbasi, along with his assistants, and with the participation of a number of faculty members and students.

The seminar was delivered by:

🔹 Dr. Eng. Saddam Abduljaleel

🔹 Legal Commissioner Majid Ghanem Mohammed

The seminar addressed the risks of drug abuse and its serious negative effects on physical and mental health, as well as its direct impact on students’ academic performance and social behavior. It also highlighted the role of families and educational institutions in preventing this phenomenon.

The speakers emphasized the importance of spreading preventive awareness, strengthening moral values, and encouraging students to adopt positive behaviors that contribute to building a safe and aware university community.

At the conclusion of the seminar, the floor was opened for discussion, allowing students to ask questions and engage in dialogue, enhancing the scientific and awareness outcomes of the event.
