As part of joint scientific cooperation and in activation of partnership agreements between universities, the College of Engineering at the University of Basra received, on Tuesday, 31/3/2026, a delegation of faculty members and students from the Departments of Mechatronics Engineering Technologies and Energy and Renewable Energy Engineering at Multaqa Al-Nahrain Private College. The visit was conducted as a field scientific trip aimed at strengthening the practical skills of students.

The visit included an overview of the most important laboratory equipment used in the specialization, in addition to introductory lectures delivered by the academic staff explaining how these devices operate and their related engineering applications.

The visit aimed to enhance students’ practical understanding and provide them with the opportunity to engage with a real engineering environment in line with labor market requirements.

This initiative also supports the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing students’ practical skills, Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) through exposure to renewable energy technologies, and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by promoting academic collaboration and knowledge exchange between educational institutions.
